Avalon Nursing Home is situated in Branksome Park, which is a unique area of Poole being occupied with large tracts of woodland. A short walk through this woodland leads you to the beach at Branksome Chine, which is a lovely setting for walks with the family. Located just a short walk from the home is the local public house, The Inn In The Park, which has a lovely homely atmosphere, perfect for drinks with the family. The Home is set in its own grounds, with a lovely patio area and lawns for residents to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Dorset air. We have ample parking for visitors and is easily accessed via the local bus services.

Local businessman, Mr Abdul Jaffer, owns the home, and is committed to ensuring that the home provides the highest standard of care in comfortable and homely surroundings.


We specialise in providing the highest standard of nursing care and comfort to the elderly. Our experienced and qualified registered nurses are on duty 24 hours a day and leads team of care assistants, trained to meet the needs of our residents. The nurses and carers experience enable them to meet a wide variety of both physical and psychological conditions associated with the older age group.
